Philadelphia Greek Independence Day Parade 2012


 

Philadelphia's Greek Day Parade is more than a single day event, but a full weekend's worth of fun and festivities. The detailed itinerary follows below, and includes a dinner party the evening before, the Great Doxology the morning of, a luncheon just before the parade's launch, the parade itself and finally a reception with dance performances following the parade's conclusion.

PARADE ROUTE

STARTING/FORMATION AREA (Formation time is 1:00 PM)

  • 18th Street and Race Street (along the Ben Franklin Parkway)
  • First groups will form at 19th and Logan Circle on the Parkway and all other groups will continue forming behind them towards City Hall on the Parkway

  • Parade will begin at 19th and Logan Circle
  • Parade will move NW along the Ben Franklin Parkway
  • Parade will go past the reviewing stand near Eakins Oval near the front of the Art Museum

REVIEW STAND:

  • Before Eakins Oval along the Parkway prior to the Philadelphia Museum of Art
