St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church Saginaw Michigan

Persons of Greek extraction began settling in Saginaw and vicinity as early as 1910. In November of 1939, after Father John Tsapatsiaris took over, the community discussed the purchase of a church structure of its own from the St. Paul Lutheran community at 120 S. Fifth Street, including the church, the next door parsonage and a vacant lot.
